Partying is fun, but problems include:

  • Lack of information about the parties

  • Deciding which events are worth attending

  • Disappointing or dangerous environment

Currently, the only way to discover good parties is from personal experience or word of mouth. What if there was a way for college students to write and read reviews and ratings on popular party hosts?

Comparative Analysis

We researched our competitors and found that they do not meet all the unique needs of our target audience.

Interview Insights

We conducted interviews to understand pain points, wants, and needs of party hosts and attendees, then arranged the data into an Affinity Diagram.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #3

Coordinating with friends

Partygoers value attending events with friends. In fact, many report the reason they go out is to hang with friends or socialization in general. Therefore, planning with friends is a crucial step, although it can often be difficult or inconvenient to coordinate.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #4

Overcrowding Concerns

Dense party capacities are a major concern for both guests and hosts. Overcrowded parties lead to discomfort, safety issues, and difficulty navigating the space, such as accidental separation from friends and long bathroom lines.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #5

Safety is a Priority

It is vital that clear information about emergency services such as Narcan, 911, SUREwalk, Lyft, Sobering Center, and live updates are easily and quickly accessible.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #1

Hosts Value Feedback

Party hosts and social chairs value the opinions of guests but are hesitant to ask or do not know how to solicit feedback.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #2

Spread of Information

College students struggle with discerning real, relevant, and digestible party details from word of mouth and Instagram sources.

INTERVIEW INSIGHT #6

Value in Alcohol and Music

People value music and alcohol quality at parties. A live update feature is needed to inform potential partygoers whether the music or DJ is good and what type of alcoholic beverages are available, including the price.
